The Water for Food Youth Challenge: Pekalongan Edition has officially started!
The journey began with a successful Technical Meeting on 15th December, 2024. This event brought together 20 outstanding participants, selected from over 130 registrants, alongside representatives from IPB University. These participants, representing diverse study levels and backgrounds, formed five multidisciplinary teams united by a shared vision: shaping a brighter future for Pekalongan City’s agricultural sector.
The session kicked off with participant introductions, followed by a detailed briefing on the program, including the schedule, expert introductions, and preparations for the upcoming site visit. Participants also had the chance to connect more deeply and refine their initial proposals through personalised breakout room sessions at the end of the meeting.
Although conducted online, the enthusiasm and energy from the participants shone through the screen. We are thrilled to embark on this transformative journey together, fostering collaboration and innovation to drive Pekalongan’s agricultural transformation.
